Rovio Resorts was born from a deep love for Finland’s rugged beauty and the desire to share its tranquility with others. Located on the shores of Lake Alvajärvi, our journey began at Suoaho Farm—a peaceful hideaway in the heart of Central Finland. The untouched wilderness, vast forests, and shimmering waters sparked a vision: to create a place where visitors could escape the rush of everyday life and reconnect with nature.
Crafting the Perfect Getaway
In 2018, that vision became reality with the opening of our first cottage, Rantarovio. Set against the backdrop of the lake, Rantarovio was built to offer more than just accommodation—it was designed to be an experience. With its lake-facing sauna, handcrafted details, and seamless blend of rustic charm and modern comfort, the cottage invites guests to immerse themselves in the serene Finnish landscape. As the sauna heats up, and the sun sets over the lake, time slows down, offering an unforgettable connection to the natural world.

Looking to the Future: Rantasuo
Looking ahead, our second cottage, Rantasuo, is set to open in 2025, bringing with it another opportunity to savor the peace and quiet of the lakeside. Like Rantarovio, Rantasuo will embody our commitment to design, comfort, and nature—offering more space for guests to unwind and explore.
